I will be covering today estimation of density-independent diffusion models from time series data. I will be illustrating estimation using Kalman filters and showing applications for estimating PVA (population viability analysis) metrics.

I am graduate student at UCSC with Marc Mangel. I am studying population ecology of fishes, particularly west coast rockfishes. I signed up for the course out of general interest in the methods.
