Chinook

Chinook is a simple content-management system designed specifically for use by scientists to present courses and workshops, or to present papers at conferences and symposiums. It allows you to build your own website with a hierarchical structure and import images, downloadable files, and PDF's that will be turned into slideshows. Because of this, any type of document you can get into PDF form can easily be imported into Chinook. Chinook also allows users to register for an account so they can comment on your material or import material of their own.

Minnow

minnow is a way to discuss PDF documents online in a community environment. You can use minnow to blog a PDF and discuss it, or use minnow by itself as a threaded forum PDF discussion engine. With minnow, the "topic" is a PDF rather than some text that you enter. minnow users can read the PDF and leave comments or annotations which will be viewable by all as soon as they are written. Any type of document that you can get into PDF format can be uploaded to minnow.
minnow is like flickr for PDFs. Upload PDF files, and it converts them to a series of images (one for each page) and allows you to leave comments and annotations on each page.
